To add this feature, type “regedit” in the Cortana search box, and then click or tap the appropriate item in the search results to launch the Registry Editor application. After entering the application, navigate to the following items:
Right-click on the ContextMenuHandlers folder and select “New” > “key”. Name your new key “Copy to”. Double-click the “Default” setting of the new “Copy to” key in the right navigation pane and change its data value to this string, including the braces: {C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}
Right-click the ContextMenuHandlers folder again, and select “New” > “key”. Name your new key “Move to”. Double-click the “default” setting of the new “move to” key in the right navigation pane, and then change its data value to this string, including the braces: {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}
After the process is complete, exit the Registry Editor by clicking File > Exit. Now, when you right-click a file in Windows 10 File Explorer, you will see entries for “Copy to” and “Move to” in the context menu, which can be used to manage files more easily.
By adding these features directly to the “File Explorer” context menu, you can avoid the multiple mouse clicks and keyboard shortcuts most of us use to move or copy files from one folder to another . Just make some simple edits to the Windows 10 registry file.
