If you find the default sleep time period is too small, you can change it in the following way.

Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery and click on the Screen and Sleep tab.

In the drop-down, set When plugged in, put my device to sleep after setting it to 15/30 minutes or any other time that suits your own requirements.

Note: To save battery life, it is recommended that you set the “on battery” sleep mode time to the lowest possible value.

To change sleep mode on Windows 10 you can do the following.

Go to Settings > System > select Power & Sleep in the left pane. In the right-pane, scroll down to the “Sleep” section and set When Plugged in, PC goes to sleep set to 15 Minutes or any other time that suits your requirements.

You can also disable sleep mode and prevent your computer from going into sleep mode by setting When Plugged in, PC goes to sleep option to Never.
