Delete Gmail account from iPhone

Another common reason for deleting a Gmail account from an iPhone is to switch to the dedicated Gmail application instead of using Gmail through the iPhone mail application.
Stop Gmail mail in the iPhone mail app
There is no need to delete the Gmail account from the iPhone, you just need to turn off the Gmail mail option in the mail application.
Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and tap on Gmail. On the next screen, move the toggle next to the Mail to OFF position.

From now on, you will no longer find Gmail messages in the iPhone mail app.

If you are using the dedicated Gmail application, you can follow the steps below to delete your Gmail account from your iPhone.
Open the Gmail App on iPhone > tap on Profile Icon and select Manage Accounts on this device option. On the Manage Accounts screen, select the Remove from this device option. On the confirmation pop-up, tap on Remove Account to confirm.

Note: You can add a Gmail account to your iPhone at any time by opening the Gmail application and logging in to your Gmail account again.
Delete Gmail account from Safari on iPhone
After you use the Safari browser to access your Gmail account on your iPhone, whenever you start the Safari browser, it will automatically log in to your Gmail account.
The solution to this problem is to clear the Safari cache by following the steps below or manually deleting the Gmail account from the Safari browser.
Open Safari browser > go to https://mail.google.com and tap on the 3-dots menu icon (top-left corner). On the next screen, tap on the Down Arrow next to your Gmail Account and select the Sign out of all accounts option. After you are signed out, tap on the Remove an Account option.

On the next screen, tap on the (-) minus icon next to your Gmail Account. On the confirmation pop-up, select the Yes remove option.

From now on, you will no longer find that Safari will automatically log in to your Gmail account.
