How to Switch Between Virtual Desktops – When you have multiple desktops, “Task View” will display all desktops at the bottom of the screen. Hovering over the desktop with the mouse will display the windows currently open on the desktop.
Switch Between Virtual Desktops
There are two ways you can move windows between virtual desktops. First, you can click and drag windows; second, you can right-click the window and use the menu.
You can click on the desktop to jump to that desktop, or you can click on a specific window to jump to the desktop and make the window focus. Just like switching applications on a single desktop, you only need to organize them into separate virtual workspaces.
You can also switch between virtual desktops using only the keyboard. Press Windows + Tab to bring up the task view, then release the key. Now, click the Tab key again to move the selection to the desktop row. You can then use the arrow keys to move between desktops, and press Enter to jump to the selected desktop.
Even better, just press Windows + Ctrl + left or right arrow keys to switch between virtual desktops without using “Task View” at all. And if you are using a touch screen device or precision touch pad, you can move between desktops with a four-finger swipe.
Right-click menu method
Step 1: Click the Task View button in your taskbar.
Note: You can also use the Windows key + Tab shortcut on your keyboard, or you can swipe with one finger from the left of your touchscreen.
Step 2: Right-click on the window you’d like to move to another desktop.
Step 3: Hover your cursor over Move to.
Step 4: Click the desktop to which you’d like to move the window.
You can move windows back and forth between desktops to your heart’s content.
Hope to help you !
