Set Spotlight Picture As Desktop Background In Windows 11, In the new version of Windows 11 recently Microsoft has added an option to set the Windows spotlight picture as desktop wallpaper, making it easy to set the Windows spotlight picture as desktop wallpaper on Windows 11.

Previously, when you wanted to use this feature, you had to use a 3rd application called Bing Wallpaper, but if you are currently using the latest version of Windows 11 you can use this feature. Here’s how to use the Set Spotlight Picture As Desktop Background In Windows 11 feature.

First, Right-click on the desktop and then click the Personalize option.

On the right side, click Background.

In the Personalize your background section, select the Spotlight collection option from the drop-down menu to set the spotlight picture as desktop wallpaper.

Note: If this option does not appear, you are probably using Windows 11 version older than 22518. Type winver in the search and press the Enter key to knowing your build number.

In some cases, Windows 11 will take a few minutes to apply the spotlight picture as the desktop background.

Learn about this picture icon

You will see an icon named “Learn about this picture” on your desktop windows 11. You can double-click the icon to get more information about the current desktop background. Right-click you will see a number of options such as Open (shows more information about the picture), Switch to next picture, I like this picture and am Not a fan of this picture.

If you click the “I like this picture” option, Windows 11 more display similar pictures in the future. Likewise, select the “Not a fan of this picture” option if you do not like to see similar images in the future.

How to know where a Windows Spotlight picture was taken?

If you like a Windows Spotlight desktop background and are curious to know where the picture was taken to know more about the location and visit the place, right-click on the Learn about this picture icon and click Open. A page with full details about the picture will be opened in the Edge browser.
